Waterloo Food Issues Group (WatFIG)

The Waterloo Food Issues Group (WatFIG) is a community of students, researchers, and faculty at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University working on a variety of food and agriculture issues across disciplines. The group was founded by Steffanie Scott and Jennifer Clapp back in 2006. Jennifer and Steffanie are the current faculty co-conveners of WatFIG, and some of WatFIG's activities are supported by Jennifer's Canada Research Chair funding.

Our regular meetings are primarily friendly forums to present research and exchange ideas and announcements with the aim to create opportunities for synergies and linkages between us. For information about upcoming meetings and other events, please the see Events tab above.

The current coordinator of the WatFIG program is Beth Timmers. Please get in contact with her at btimmers@uwaterloo.ca if you have any questions or would like more information.
