The first Brown Bag Lunch of 2014 was hosted by Dr. Clarence Woudsma, Director of the School of Planning and past-president of the Canadian Transportation Research Forum. Clarence spoke in detail about his extensive research in the field of logistics planning (introducing many to the concept of “logistics landscapes”) as well as spin-off work into the impacts of climate change on the trucking industry in Canada. Clarence also discussed changing CIP accreditation requirements and the steps the University of Waterloo has taken to ensure the School of Planning continues to offer Canada’s premier planning program at both the undergraduate and Master’s level.
