Roles:

  • takes the place of the President in the absence of the President
  • is responsible for elections
  • acts as a liaison between the EGSA and other departments or Grad Studies Societies as applicable
  • performs the functions delegated by the President.

Hometown: Kelowna, British Columbia

Program: Geography and Environmental Management, MES

Research: My research interests lie in climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, Traditional Indigenous Knowledge (TIK), and policy making. For my Master’s thesis I will be investigating the role of TIK in adapting to climatic hazards in the Cook Islands. It is my hopes that this research will contribute towards effective and equitable adaptation policy in one of the most vulnerable regions of the world!

About Me: I’m basically a crazy dog lady. If I’m not talking to my dogs like they are real people, I enjoy hiking (with the dogs), socializing (with and without the dogs), cooking (with the dogs), and traveling (with and without the dogs). I also enjoy getting overly competitive when playing board games and becoming overly emotional while watching TV shows.
